Who Eats This Shit

After seeing a commercial of what looked like a terrible meal, I looked at the nutrition information on the double patty melt meal at Whataburger.

95g of fat, 1800 calories, and 5500mg of sodium.

Are you kidding me? That much fat and salt in one fuckin meal! This is just ridiculous.

2 Questions:

Do people really eat this garbage consistently? They must because people are fat as hell and it seems bathrooms everywhere smell like elephant shit. Not just the regular shit smell you'd expect in a bathroom...this is elephant dung and it must be from this shitty food.

Anyone have any examples of a worse fast food meal?

oh hi, how does it feel seeing real world shit ??

must have been tough living under that rock your entire life....

outside of fast food, there are also other cool things such as the internet (which you seem to have located rather nicely), there are also toilets that flush, Sofia Vergara, mechanical pencils, devices that you can use that will either call a person in another location AND have the ability to capture still/video images, ceiling fans too keep you cool and modern medicine that will help heal illness - it's kind of like magic...

welcome to the world, my friend, be careful out there.....

One thing I don't know about...garbage fast food. Not sure what you mean by real world shit. I was utterly shocked at the numbers...

You eat this stuff?

I just got back from a 3 Michelin star restaurant in NYC, so I'll continue living under that rock.

That's always been my stance but I never actually checked numbers until today. Lord...no wonder people are fat as hell.

It's awful but, sadly, it's cheap and a lot of people are forced in to this types of "diets" due to economics. Others just don't care or have knowledge of nutrition. And others are paid to eat a lot and get super fat because they think it's sexy and have a fat fetish.

Will eventually cost a lot more in health costs. Sad, honestly.

Ever looked up why a salad is so much more expensive than a hamburger? Interesting read to say the least...

I'm sure he'll have a reason to make fun of Michelin star restaurants or have some theory on why they aren't good, has had better, etc. The guy is funny sometimes, but is truly a know it all and internet hero.

The meal you just ate at the three star restaurant is probably about that many calories. Restaurants pile butter onto everything, that's why their food tastes so good. I'm happy that Whataburger gives you the real number at least as opposed to places like McDonald's whose calorie quotes don't include things like ketchup, mayo, cheese, BUNS...

I'm a fan of eating at home now. It's cheaper, and I can control the sodium/fat content.

I'm on a diet and only eating 1900 cals/day. It's honestly more than enough. When I got to restaurants I see that an appetizer, main course and a dessert amount to over 2500 calories, easily. It's so easy to overeat if you don't watch these things.

I had a favorite sub at the local Silver Mine Subs shop that I used to order once a week. Then they started posting the calories on the menu board. It worked for me. I was pretty stunned at how bad it really was. I started eating the lower calorie ones. Some of their larger subs topped 2000 calories. Yikes.

Uh... NO ONE is forced to eat at Whataburger, or anywhere else, for that matter. It's a choice. It's still cheaper to buy food and prepare it yourself. There are no "victims" in this, except children whose parents make their food choices.

And Whataburger isn't that far off Chipotle....

Not a chance. Hoity-toity places like that give you a single scallop, a spear of asparagus, and some artsy sauce drizzled between them. Then they charge you $195. You can go broke and starve to death at the same time.
