I have an f32 my 2014 prod date end march and a couple of week ago bmw italy declare new features sw on f30 series:
- programmable steering response in sport/sport+ ( only with 216 and 2VL)
- zf At intelligent software connected with 609 maps for a best choice of right gear shift.

On your opinion are these features activable by coding also on previous version?

For example: i have sailing mode in ecopro mode choice on the efficent dynamic setup on the screen. Series from factory. Anyone with previous version has activated this enhanced function?

After leaving this for a day, I tried again and got the attached screen.



Makes me feel like everything is working, but the VIN may be no good? or perhaps the bluetooth data from the phone is still not working as I still do not see that option anywhere. Those of you that coded this, did you run into this, how did you solve it?

Thought of coding some things to my car. But before I begin, do I need a token? Only thinking to code things as seatbelt reminder off, video in motion, trunk close from keyFOB, and some more things. I've read somewere that I don't need it for these simple things, is it true?

You asked if it was really true that you needed a Token solution. I responded that yes, it is true. You do need a Token solution to do those things as you will have to FDL Code, and FDL Coding requires a Token solution.

When VO coding, is there a way to actually see which parameters got changed in the car? I know there is TokenMaster's program but that didnt work our for me. Thanks

No. And using TokenMaster's NCD/CAFD Tool for this is very simple.

1) VO Code ECU with FA
2) Read ECU, and save .NCD file in folder named Before (e.g. C:\Before\CAFD_000000B5_012_002_040.ncd.NCD)
3) Modify FA, and VO Code same ECU.
4) Read ECU, and save .NCD file in folder named After (e.g. C:\After\CAFD_000000B5_012_002_040.ncd.NCD)
5) In NCD / CAFD Tool => NCD Compare, load one file in one pane and the other file in the other pane and display differences:

You can try using BMW Live? It works for us in Asia without having the need for a subscription

You can either : -

VO Coding - 6AL

or

FDL code

3003 ONLINE_BROWSER_LIVE > change to aktiv

I think you need to write a ghost VIN to the car like how Shawn did. You will need to modify the VIN on your FA and VO code CMB_MEDIA so that it picks up the new coding VIN. Also, do you have BMW Assist? You will probably need to remove 6AL as Kon suggested.
