BMW e92 2008 In-car iPod integration

Hi guys,

I'm looking to purchase In-car iPod integration for my 2008 e92.

I have found the following:
http://caraudiosecurity.com/ctabmipo...ipod-interface

It says it'll fit:
BMW Business OEM head units, iBus Vehicles that have 17 Way Round Pin Connector.

According to BMW VIN Decoder I have:
S663A Radio BMW Professional
S694A Provisions for BMW 6 CD changer

Will this fit my car?

Many Thanks

you wont need the CIC but you will need the 6FL stuff... combox and that does get quite pricey...

might be better to get an ipod fm transmitter if you don't have an aux...

The cheapest oem way to have the newer professional HU with BT & USB built in!

It'll cost you around £400 for all the parts!

For a 2008 E92 with a professional CD player BMW lists part number: 65412160342. This is the official BMW iPod retrofit kit. It would need to be coded to your car too. Its listed for £268 but you can pick it up for £228 elsewhere.

I'd keep a lookout on eBay and the likes mate. I've seen used genuine kits go for around or under £100. Its all about keep on looking and searching for a bargain.

If you want to go for the Dynavin route, look at the Zenec units. I've heard they are much better quality wise. The Dynavin are not so good apparently. I've read a few posts where people have said that they are a little underwhelming.

I'm pretty sure this won't be compatible - there is no ipod retrofit kit for the pre lci professional HUs!

I looked into this a while back! It's only cars with the business HU that the kit works with!

The only options for iPod integration are: newer professional HUs / Denison or an aftermarket HU!

I think you might be confusing this with the USB retrofit kit (which is not available for pre-lci professional HU, only Business HU).

This is just iPod connection only and according to Realoem is listed for the pre-lci Professional HU's (option code S663A which the OP has).

+1

I'm after an aftermarket kit for my 2008 e93.
From what I've seen, both the HU with blue tooth & USB and the Denison 500 BT work out at 0ver £500. I'd love to find a cheaper option.

Yes, this kit simply offers iPod/iPhone connectivity via a ipod wire and will play and control music from your idevice via your stereo. There is no USB here. 6FL/USB on the other hand plays music off the idevices and any USB based device too. I use my 6FL USB with a 32GB memory stick loaded with music. This is for example something the ipod kit I mentioned cannot do.

So where can I buy this kit? How much is it? Will it fit / connect to any business HU?

Matey, no offence but get yourself a proper E9X HU with built in BT and ipod integration.
Nothing best than the OEM route with oem integration.

See post 6 fella. Link is in there. But If that's the route you want to take then keep your eyes peeled on the bay. Seen BMW dealer one off sales go much cheaper.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-In-Car-D...item232e88c376

Anyone seen these before, for the price....is it worth it?
