BMW F34 LCI - DRL issue

Hi All,

I noticed my passenger side DRL seems to be about 10-15% dimmer to the driver side, after adjusting these using Bimmer Code to 100% brightness, I have tried backing up the changes and when seeing if that made a difference it looked as though the passenger side got even dimmer around 60% I cant say I noticed such a dramatic change before, I have the adaptive LED headlight LCI - low beam and high beam work fine they both output the same- any suggestions?

One of mine had started to dim as well. I went ahead and got replacement modules. I went with the yellow ones to get the CSL look. But they were fairly cheap and easy to replace if you do end up needing to.

If you're actually referring to the LCI adaptives (icons) then you cannot actually make them any brighter. The xenons however you can, the chip on those DRL boards isn't the same.

There's many reasons not to do this style of coding though, the top 2 being A) you'll burn your LED boards out way faster B) you'll fry the end of the optical light guide (the plastic tube that reflects light) leaving you with a yellow ish DRL.

I have purchased these a month ago - absolute match to OEM. These are for adaptive LED headlights:
https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/10050...yAdapt=glo2vnm

The F34 DRL boards are glued onto the heat sinks with thermal paste (F30/31 boards are bolted to the heat sinks). It was cheap enough to purchase the boards with heat sinks pre-assembled. But if you'd like, the boards can be purchased separately as well.

This is the link for the boards only:

If you are thinking of CSL Yellow DRL boards - they are only available for non-adaptive headlights, then here is the link for those: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/10050...d=QTyvUD2LTRdg

Unfortunately no plug-n-play Yellow CSL boards are available for F34 adaptive LED headlights yet. I'm experimenting with custom boards myself as my car has adaptive LED headlights.

But if your light is dimmer and not yellow, I'd suggest for you to carefully remove the DRL assemblies from the top and check on the ends of light tubes... It will be either broken (like was on mine) or the end is burnt and is slightly yellow/matt.

Good luck.

~Thank you for your helpful comment as usual, I have just purchased a new genuine part from ebay for £65 so ill just replace the full module, I may however purchase the PCB boards and attach it to the defected unit just as a spare.

Greetings to all from a newcomer to the forum! I bought yellow DRL modules for my F36 on Aliexpress. It's ok and looks exactly the same. But help me find such yellow DRL modules for my F34 LCI with dynamic LED headlights. I have looked everywhere and there is none.

They don't exist yet. - Believe me, I've looked. I have been experimenting with yellow DRLs in my F34 with Adaptive LEDs by modifying (soldering and etc) boards that were intended for other BMW F cars.
