Strasse Sport
Ivan is the man!
He has my SL65 at his shop now getting some major body work...prior wide body kit, full repaint and more. I took the work to Ivan because I demanded perfection, attention to detail and no shortcuts. These SL kits are not easy install and takes a lot of skill to get right. He should have it done soon and I'll be sure to share his work and let it speak for itself. |

hey I saw the car when I was there only from the outside since you have your own bay at his shop ... you will be happy. I was wondering what kind of job a guy does to get a car like that then to put that much work into it... mr mid America cartel explains it. |

Ha! Nah man, I'm just a regular guy who has a bad automotive addiction and drives a car that far exceeds his tax bracket.
Mid-America Cartell is an auto culture website I'm launching in June that focuses on tales of car culture from the Midwest. Hence the way I spelled Cartell with two L's. I'm in Iowa and how the car got to Ivan is a long story but the gist of the story is that the people who I think most highly of in the enthusiast community couldn't think more highly of Ivan. There are great body shops in Cali but to a man I was told it'd be a mistake to have anyone but Ivan do my build. If a Mercedes owner from Iowa insists and sending his car halfway across the country to a BMW specialist for a full body transformation...it should be a no-brainer for all you local BMW guys to take your next project to Ivan. You will not be disappointed! Pictures to come soon! |

Gotta add, Ivan took quite a bit of time to help me out today even though he was already slammed for the day. Can't say thank you enough for really helping me out!!!

Had to send this back up to the top. Ivan is a very classy, honest and great individual (unlike another shop west of him). He just worked my car and put on a new mtech front bumper. He is amazing. A one man shop for now but hopefully he grows. Even he gets referrals from EAS!

I've been slacking to update my Strasse Sport build. Below are some crappy cell phone shots. Ivan finished up his end this week and did so masterfully. Not shown here are the carbon fiber front lip and rear diffuser he did in house, the gloss black badges and he painted the chrome pieces on the grill black. When the wheels go on this week I'll have proper shots of his work of art for you guys.
