The problem isn't dell. The overheating comes from the battery. It's inherant to allmost any laptop you buy today. The worst laptop experience I had come with a Sony Vaio...the damn thing never worked more than 6 months straight and it cost me over $3000. Currently I've got an alienware. It gets really hot...but I the only issue I had with with the video card and it was replaced for free under warranty
