I want a bigger car.

Hello all.

I've been thinking about getting a bigger car. Cant decide if I want a larger sedan, or an SUV. I definitely want something that isn't going to guzzle gas. I was thinking about the x5, or a cayenne, but I really like the new 740i.

I'm Frustrated

P.S. If anyone wants to trade their SUV, I have a e92 335i coupe I'd like to trade.

I like teh 7-series but they're huge; I think the 5-series is about my limit...

Sounds like your choices are pretty limited at best if you're asking for big and relatively fuel efficient. I'd go with the 740 or the Cayenne - love both of them but for me, the Cayenne would have to be at least the S, which is much thirstier

07-08 mdx man. reliable, practical, enough power, good gas, light weight and handle well. there was a comparison between the mdx, x5, q7, etc and the mdx handle better than these car.

X5d

The Cayenne is more fun to drive, (I had a Cayenne S, and have an X5d) the 'd' gets really good mileage.

You can't buy one of those new anymore and they weren't light on the diesel either.

How about a Volvo XC70, big, not too much of a gas guzzler and you sit up a little higher, or you could get an S80, it's a big sedan, much more comfortable ride than any BMW this side of a 7, much better seats as well.

I should really look into the x5d. I think if I'm gonna get a p car, it better be a 911. Cayenne is out of the question.

MDX is a great car, my cousin bought one for the family.

My buddy is a bigg truck guy, I think he has a f250. Drove in it once, pretty bad ass, but pickup trucks arent my thing.

Its worth a test drive (X5d). The more I drive it, the more sense it makes.

Oh, I have never been a pickup truck guy. But, I digg desert baha racing. This is the first truck to come from the factory built to desert race. It is built to jump! Hence the "born in baha" moniker.

Its not just some lame Harley Davidson edition Ford pickup Hick-mobile. This thing goes FAST over anything.

I was very close to buying a Raptor, it is really cool. I drove an F-350 for almost 100,000 miles (1999 F-350 diesel) it was a great truck, but at this point in my life the raptor, or any other pick up just wouldn't be fun. Back then I was towing my boats around every summer weekend (not exaggerating a bit) and heading up to the snow in the winter. Back then it was perfect, but now a pickup is just a dd that sucks gas and won't go around a corner. The Raptor is almost cool enough to buy just because....but not quite.

I would suggest the MDX if only it wasn't hideous

The E70 X5 4.8i or the 50i are definitely very thirsty. The base Porsche Cayenne is surprisingly not bad in terms of mpg.
