a little silly geeky joke but made laugh out loud

"When I think my current computer is 30x faster, has 160x more RAM and 333x bigger hard-drive than 9 years ago, it is just something amazing. And if I think that one computer operation takes only 0.000000001 seconds today, that with one blink of an eye a processor can move numbers between its registers 80,000,000x, add and subtract them and at the same time 85x redraw all 995,328 pixels on my screen and check 130,000x whether or not I pressed a key or moved my mouse, then I just have to ask, WHAT THE FUCK HAS EXCEL BEEN DOING FOR THE PAST TWO MINUTES!?!?"

it was actually funny. for fun, go find a 10 year old computer and use it for 10min. it's amazing how much better it is today, but back then THAT seemed really current

my first computer was an Apple II, which had a screen resolution smaller than some people's avatars on this board
