E90 post SBR thread: Sport Bike Riders, what is your poison?

Post what you ride for a sport bike and why?

Honda CBR:

Yamaha Rx:

GSX-R:

Kawasaki ZX-x:

Post a picture...

I'm a fan of the CBR's comfort level, the GSX-R's sex appeal and the ZX- GREEN color option!

GSXR.. Is the best

Ridden an R before. Its just too bulky and doesnt turn well. Fast as shit on a straight way but as for turns not so much. GSXR all the way.

I think all of the major brands of modern sportbikes are pretty close to each other in terms of performance/handling and it comes down to personal preference.

The bigger choice to make is whether you want a supersport (600 cc) or a superbike (1000 cc). Superbikes are just plain fast...instant power in any gear at any speed, but requires a deft throttle control hand. Supersports on the other hand have less power, but are lighter and more flickable and are a blast in the turns.

So it all depends on what you want to do with the bike. I have a 2001 Honda CBR600F4i that I primarily use as a trackbike and a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R1000 that I use on weekend canyon rides.

i have on 07 r6 for the streets, and a 03 r6 for a trackbike. I think they look the best and handle the best IMHO.

Baby girl i've owned 3 R6's and 2 GSXR's...as far as handling, they are pretty much the same, maybe the pro riders can tell the difference but not us normal people...you also have to know how to set ur bike's suspension based on ur body weight and riding style to get the most out of it....

I've owned every bike listed in the poll, i'll be happy to share pros and cons if people are thinking about buying...

i just picked up an 08 CBR 600RR for this season, now this bike i can tell is more agile and easy to ride than my other bikes...but the seat suck, it's wide and it's hard...after a long ride you will have hemorrhoids
