I know that Brioni makes a $1,200 polo shirt. God knows why the hell anyone would buy a polo for that much.

I remember having second thoughts about a Hugo Boss shirt that cost $100 (my entire suit was $600).

Exactly, I spend 30 or so on nice RL polos...the rest just dillards brands, and I do "ok" with the ladies. People who drop thousands on clothes trying to impress the ladies makes me laugh, and they wonder why they end up with gold diggers.

You younger kids need to read a book called "The Millionaire Next Door". In the book a PhD interviews 1,000 millionaires and collects statistics and data about their consumer and investment behavior.

Three things he mentioned that most of those millionaires didn't do:

- Impulse buy
- Pay for retail for brand name clothing
- Socialize with people who wasted money

It's an interesting read, and even for someone at my age, I learned a few things about my own consumer behavior that was hurting my overall wealth.

Millionaires that earned it themselves don't piss it away, their children that inherit it do.

Yea they'll have a good time, but they also need to have the hottest girl and they flash the money to get her. Then they end up divorced 2 times paying alimony to both bitches that do nothing but sit on their ass collecting.

Ill pass

No man HAS TO marry, Collin. I don't know of any guy who has a biological clock like women do.... Do you?

Flashing $$$ to get hot girls? Yeah ...That's an easy way. But then if one is so stupid to think that god diggers actually love him and wants to marry one, then he deserves whatever comes to him next.

Exactly, I dont plan on jumping the broom for a long time.

Ill buy nice things, but I dont see the point in spending that kind of money on clothes, sure it looks nice and makes you feel good. But not many people will know what it is or how much you paid for it. Its not like women will walk up and say "thats a nice 2k suit you have, wanna fuck?"

Therein lies the fault in buying (dressing) to impress.

Certain people would have a lot more wealth in their pocket if they bought things because they actually appreciated them, not because of what people will think.

Returned the shirts after work today. Proceeded to Hugo Boss per Escobar's recommendation and got two shirts and two ties (both 2-for-1). I grabbed some new undershirts/drawers from Macy's on the way out and still have $500+ in my pocket. I always feel stupid returning things but I'm definitely glad I did.

Thanks for talking some sense into me!
