I will look into the laws governing shipments to Canada and age restrictions. Will get back to you ASAP.

What about insurance on Black Pearl (do you worry it might disappeared while in transist)? Like UPS or HDL might say someone robbed them at gun point and took the package...
I will personally deliver the product to whoever purchases the Black Pearl. Either that or send whoever it is a plane ticket to NY so I can hand the bottle over to them. A discount will be given if the person who purchases the bottle cracks it open and shares a drink with me.

Thanks for all the great support guys, we really dug deep into our piggy banks to acquire inventory, but we believe it will payout in the long run.

Look into adding flavored vodkas down the road. They are heavy seller in most bars and to the 21-25 crowd. Look into 3 Olives Vodka their cherry, grape, chocolate and vanilla flavors are spot on and very tasty. At least add 3 olives regular vodka cuz it is definitely on par with belvedere and grey goose

Best of luck!

I'm assuming you didn't actually stock Black Pearl, cause if so, I am ordering something just to get your address and then robbing you

Well, for the reason you posted, and given my tendency's to just open expensive bottles out of the blue, i do not keep it in sight.

We do own a bottle tho (it would be crazy for us to list such a rare item that barely got any allocation in the states for sale if we didn't own one) but its kept guarded at a temperature controlled warehouse along with most of our inventory. That bottle alone we insured for $100k, so hell if it breaks or disappears in the warehouse we would make a killing off of it.

I will be at the warehouse sometime this week to go over some inventory, i will try to remember to bring my camera and take some real life pictures of it. Maybe stick my BMW key in the case along with an e90post sticky next to it.

Van Gogh is good stuff as well, solid addition.

You'd be amazed the amount of times I've been somewhere on vacation and I walk up to the bar and order a three olives cherry and cranberry for my fiance. They look at me with the WTF puzzled face. Somehow they've never heard of it?

Also you've prolly heard of them but do a grape or cherry bomb. Shot of either their grape of cherry flavor with a shot of redbull poured in as well. It's da bomb

Also what's up with not having Jamison??

My friend's wife has been involved in an online gift service, similar to this.

They increase web traffic by paying Google to add them to the 'Sponsored Links', on the left side of the Google results page. When people search the word 'liquor' and 'gift', your site would pop up in the list. I'm not sure if you pay Google every time someone clicks or not. Unsure of details, but you may want to pursue that.

Thanks for the input man.

I just signed up for both yahoo and google ads. It says it takes a while before its put into the system, but i am hoping it will drive some traffic to the site.

The thing is most liquor store's have the same generic brands over and over. The purpose of the store was really to create a place to find rare vintages and hard to find items.

There's a lot of stuff on the site that most store's do carry, but usually when someone purchase these item's its not for them, its a gift to send to someone else. Say for example your family lives in Texas and you in Cali and you want to send them a bottle, instead of tracking down a local liquor store in there area willing to deliver and the headache's that come with that, you just place the order with us and we do the rest of the work for you.

Also, being in NY we are hoping we get a lot of executive business, people that have no time to go to a store and shop for what they are looking for. Most times what they are looking for is super premium and most stores don't carry it, this gives them a channel to get exactly what they want and delivered right to them.

hey Dleo, good luck with the business, its alot of fun....... i was looking over your wines....you need some ZD abacus or Harland cab's for the California section
