I loved the idea and starting steps but do not like the final product.
Wheels are ugly too.

for you for not knowing shit.
ik999 was right, putting the V10 into that car doesn't make too much sense to me

the ideal engine for that car would be the euro e90 330i engine (268HP)

Im pretty sure the owner wanted 500 hp or else he wouldn't have spent that much money on a V10 lol.

I love the job. The was absolutely an eloquent, yet simple restore. What was the length of the project? -one of my favorite M gen's-

Nice!

I think most people are missing that that final shot is not the finished product. That is definetely not the fire breathing V10 from the M5/M6...

I wish they had started with with a beat up e30 M3. I love the project, but its sad they destroyed a perfectly good looking M3 to start it

+1 Take a look at the article. The car isn't done yet. The OP's "after" shots are actually the "before" photos. The last shot, chronologically, is the one where the shell of the refab-ed car is covered in primer.

the owner can do what he wants, but I think that it would have been wiser to go with the e34 if he wanted the v10 in a vintage BMW.

remember that the original e30 M3 had a 4 cylinder engine. its legendary handling is what earned the praise. putting such a heavy engine into it ruins everything.

I would recommend going with either the 3 liter N53 (268HP) or the s2000 engine.

+1 there's so few of them I would have rather them restored it back to stock and put the V10 in a 318 or something....
