The word "obviously" was used 38 times in yesterday's FIA presser. Take a shot for every time that word is used and you'll be feeling pretty good lol

Perhaps because they're not speaking their native language, there's a preponderance of one word abuses. Count how many times Vettel says "yeah", or Alonso says "to be honest". Schumacher used to start every sentence with "honestly".

We all know Monaco, with it's sharp turns and narrow width and windy chicanes is full of crashes and wrecks. I thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane and looks at some of those past crashes:
Kobayashi Crashing: Webber enjoying the Riviera's sky: Chandhok and Trulli in 2010 Alonso and Schumacher in 2004: This happened in 2000 when Button spun Pedro de la Rosa in the hairpin: Johnny Herbert in 1997 destroying his Sauber C16: Mr. Ayrton Senna circa 1988: Piquet,Patrese crash in 1985: Derek Daly, 1980: Jack Brabham spin out; 1970. With 13 laps to go he spun out but managed to finish in 2nd place: Lorenzo Bandini in 1967: Cliff Allison crashed in 1960 and did a Superman: This is an iconic Monaco GP moment: Ascari crashing in to the harbor: A mess in 1950 caused by ocean spray from the harbour: This pileup occured in 1936: Trivia: The cars used in Iron Man 2 were heavily based upon the 1978 Walter Wolf Formula One car

I was at this race back back in 1989 after our track meet. Most of us American athletes stayed at the casino square which was so cool. To me this is the most exciting race just because of the excitement of being in Monaco or down the street in Nice. I just told my wife we need to schedule our vacation around this event next year. Long live Mr Ayrton Senna

The cars sound especially disappointing around Monaco now
Will be interesting to see if Mercedes can stay on pole here, Q1 underway now.

Turn 1 should be interesting... and also Nico's issues with bad starts this year. He lost the lead in Bahrain when he was on pole on turn 1.

Rossberg pulls a Schumacher, albeit with a *bit* more subtlety. It'll be interesting to see if the stewards allow him to retain pole.
I understand earplugs aren't selling quite so well in Monaco this year. Lewis is a great driver, but damn he's a whiny little snot.
