From the title, I thought this was going to be a thread about the dangers of using the ice from these machines. Like people piss inside or some crap or they don't get cleaned out for ages and there's tons of bacteria.

I would never eat it. Now if you get the ice fresh from the top bacteria is not so much as an issue unless you scrape from the bottom.

To fill the tub to ice the beer for the party where the cheap hotel room will get trashed....not from experience, just a guess.

No, a person would never do that or fill the sink with ice and beer as well. Or use the trash can with liner to take to the pool at night

i use them a lot. you have a cooler...you need ice. however it takes FOREVER to fill them up b/c they are so damn slow

We usually use the ice to put in the icebox that is in the room and put soda in there but we got a fridge/freezer with in our recent room so we didn't need it this time.
