icemachines in hotels/motels

what are they for?
when staying at a hotel or motel or a thirty dollar i-waited-until-the-last-minute-to-book-a-room-for-a-big-event-and-now-have-to-shower-with-my-socks-on kind of motel, you're making a serious gamble on whether there'd be clean sheets or free hbo waiting for you. But one thing you can bet your nads on is that there will be a big brown humming box on every floor that, like masturbating in the snow, will shake and make all sorts of loud anticipatory noises only to shoot out a few ice cubes. Who the hell uses these things? You can go to bed without checking your email, tossing and turning between four different pillows, kicking ferociously to loosen the impossible tuck of three different sheets, but you can't go eight hours without ice?

seriously, do any of you guys use the hotel ice machines? If so, what for? If it wasn't there would you miss it?

haha...I guess you don't drink liquor in the hotel room?

It depends on why you are in th hotel. You meanto tell me that you have never used the hotel room as a place to party?

Get some friends together....some Hennesey....some music and play drinking games...great fun.

'specially when you can't go home because your mom is using the kitchen table to cut up that fresh kilo of coke.

OK...I made that last part up.

I'm sure the drinks were bottled or canned. I don't think he meant it was a tub full of fruit punch.

Yeah, that would make sense.

I was thinking in terms of scooping a glass full of ice out of the tub for a rum and coke or something.

Cooler is a must for travel especially with kids. Getting ice that you already paid for is a must!
