If one can afford a car like that they can also afford to park at the far end of the lot. I sometime will take up two spots with my lowly MS6, but always parked straight, and always in the further corner of the lot in an end spot, and only when there is no single end spot wide enough to get away from the inevitable person that decides to park too close to me. Doing that in the middle though is just asking for trouble from people with poor morals and no appreciation for a nice automobile.

Public parking is one of the reasons I'm still on the fence about pulling the trigger on an M3; I'll be that much more paranoid about careless people and runaway shopping carts.

It's one thing if it's an empty lot..

i use to park in this public garage where there are limited spaces and you're parked really close to your parking neighbors. There was a STi that ALWAYS took 2 spots at peak hours. Now that is just inconsiderate and an asshat move. I wish someone would piss on that car.

Talk about close parking serves the fellow in the white car right, I guess his only way out will be thru the window

I have two a$$ clowns at work who insist on parking like this. One's an Evo with faded paint and scratches, the other is a 370Z in not much better condition. It's not like they're doing it to keep their cars from getting dinged. It's just to aggrevate people like me.

asshat, i would just leave a note to tell them how shitty their car is and that it's an asshat move. a potentail dent in your car isn't going to affect the value of a 7 year old fainted paint Evo that's worth less than 12k.

The only thing worse than taking up 2 parking spots is keying a car that takes up 2 parking spots.

R8 should be ticketed (simple traffic citation).
Anyone that keys the R8 should be arrested for vandalism.

You don't happen to work in Oak Brook, do you? There's an MS6 that parks on an angle like this in the back of the lot I park in. I've been debating parking closely next to it to see their reaction.

I would never key someone's car, that's worse than taking up two spots. I would leave a note, however. At least its not a disabled spot, that would piss me off more

A surgeon I work with knew that a certain Audi driving anesthesiolgist hated cars parked too close to his, so he and his partner did this to the guy's A8-with two Ford 350s (what they use to haul their toys to the track).

To this day we have no idea how he got into/out of that car.

Unfortunately, I feel that you're correct. Usually, the first urge that you have to do something isn't the right thing.
