Evos ride pretty stiff, they aren't very comfortable, but they put you in your seat for sure and handle nicely. Take off the wing and you have yourself a docile looking car that hauls. E46 M3 will be a nice transition from an E90 in terms of driving experience. Are you on a budget?

No because I worked for BMW when I got my e90 M3 so I am actually making a little money selling it.

I mean I could spend more but I'm going to be driving a lot so I'd rather not spend a ton on something I am going to rack miles up on, just want something that is reliable and fast that I won't take a huge hit on putting 50k miles on it over the next 3 years.

That depends on how you drive. I have extracted a combined 20-21 mpg out of my E90 & E92 ///M3's. I achieved the same gas mileage in all 3 of my E46 M3's as well. So in MY case, there is no difference.

I actually had an 07' 335xi before my M3 and I loved it. Looking to do something a little different but that's something I would consider going back to.
i've owned a 89 16v gti, 01 gti glx vr6, and an 04 r32, all of them spent less time at the shop then my current m3. granted they aren't audi but i wouldn't say they are unreliable.

I would keep the E90, and buy yourself a cheap FWD car; good in the rain and snow.

I think I'm leaning towards an 07'-08' 335xi now. A couple of you on here along with me missing my old one kind of persuaded me. Also, I have averaged 20.2mpg over 11k miles in my e90 M3. Very good gas mileage for the performance.

From those 3 choices, I'd pick the evo but only an Evo IX. With a turbo-back exhaust, intake and tune, you'll run high 11's all day. I know this as I owned one.
