Any MotoGP or WSBK fans?

Just wondering if any of you are two wheel addicts like myself.

I'm a Spies fan myself but he has been royally screwing up this year and I am fairly certain he will be losing his factory seat with Yamaha.

Looking forward to Assen is weekend, always a favorite of mine.

Iam a huge MotoGP, WSBK, AMA fan and a two wheel addict in general. Ive been riding for a while and have had plenty of bikes along the way. Here is my current bike. Spies is dead in the water it seems but I think Cal Crutchlow has some potential and i cant wait to see who takes Stoner's spot on the Repsol

Yeah, I'm really hoping Cal gets bumped up to Yama factory next year, dude rides that Tech 3 ragged. Gonna be a shoot out between him and Dovi for the seat I believe.

As for repsol, I am reasonably certain that Marquez will end up in it. First it didn't look like it, but it looks like the rookie rule is going to be thrown out, paving the way for Marc to get his seat. Not excited about it though, if you ask me the kid is a dangerous punk, who will cause a lot of accidents. Fortunately he is a Spaniard though so he gets away with dirty moves and pushing the boundaries due to DORNA's obvious bias to their Spanish riders...

Would love to see Spies get a repeat win at the Dutch GP. While he has been struggling recently, he is the only reason I tune in for a race these days (maybe something Yamaha should consider when selecting their factory riders). I feel MotoGP has lost all excitement since the introduction of all the electronics. I was hoping the return of the 1000cc bikes would change this, but no such luck. I miss the days of big slides and the occasional high side. Having said that, I think the best racing today is found in the WSBK Super Sport series. Seems like these riders still care about winning and that goes double for Sofuoglu. He is truly one is one hell of a rider to watch.

Been following GPs and WSBK since 1999. As of late, WSBK is the most exciting racing to watch, very close ton on par with Moto2. If you haven't watched a Moto2 race, do yourself a favour and watch one, it's extremely entertaining. I think it's a fact that Marquez will be on the Repsol team next year with Stoner retiring, Dorna will work something out for him.

I road raced at the club level for about six years too

I thought that Hayden would come back strong with the 1000 being used again. I was rooting for him.

Looks like Lorenzo is going quickly on the harder tire in FP1 and FP2.. The Yamaha looks like the best package this year.

I've been to every GP race in Indy since it started. I'll post up some pics, but I've got a crossplane R1. Man that thing sound like war. I've got a header back carbon Graves and it sounds unreal. My buddy says when I pull into the neighborhood he doesnt know if its a muscle car, an exotic car, or a race bike. The sound alone is 95% of the reason I bought it.

I almost feel bad for Pedrosa.. I mean he's consistently in the top but hasn't been able to put together a championship yet..

Im seriously hoping that Rossi gets the repsol seat. Im tired of seeing him struggle with that POS Ducati that only Stoner was able to do anything with. I want to see Rossi do well again.

MotoGP really hinges on Rossi and his character.. I think the Ducati should be torched.

Wow...been an interesting few weeks. The drama off the track is sometimes more interesting than what goes on, on the track. That being said, I think that next season will mark a downward spiral of MotoGP. I have steadily been losing interest in GP and focusing more on WSBK and Moto2 & 3.

Recent Developments...

Factory Honda Confirmed:
-Pedrosa
-Marquez

Factory Yamaha Confirmed:
-Lorenzo
-Open Seat

Factory Ducati Confirmed:
-Nicky Hayden
-Open Seat

LCR Honda
-Bradl

Tech 3 Yamaha
-Bradley Smith

San Carlo Gresini Honda
-Open Seat

So of note, the following riders are without contract at the moment:

-Val Rossi
-Dovisioso
-Spies
-Cal Crutchlow
-Alvaro Bautista

Val Rossi- No one knows what he has up his sleeve. With Spies recent announcement to voluntarily leave Yamaha, many are predicting he will get the factory Yamaha seat.

Ben Spies- Really surprised everyone by announcing his voluntarily vacancy of his factory seat with Yamaha. He inferred that he has plans and a direction to be going. Many are slating him for a WSBK return riding a BMW. The other leading rumor is that he will be heading up Suzukis return to GP.

Dovisioso- Has been very vocal about his displeasure with factory Yamaha, that he has been led on. With him being upset, this sort of strengthens the Rossi return to Yamaha rumor.

Cal Crutchlow- Even before Nicky was confirmed, Cal was in serious negotiations with Ducati to take a factory seat. With Ducatis recent and sudden announcement of Nickys extension for next year, this also points towards Rossi leaving, if Ducati is in fact still in negotiations with Cal

Bautista- Haven't heard a thing?

It will be interesting to see how things pan out til next season, however if Spies is indeed leaving, and Dovi may end up doing the same if screwed over. No one knows what the format will be next year in regards to CRT, and overall the entertainment value has steadily declined. If it heads the direction I think it is going, they will be losing a fan for sure. There is simply just too much racing that is worlds better to be watching.

Rossi and Lorenzo as team mates again would be GPs ONLY saving grace, however, if Rossi stays Ducati, rest assured it is another nail in the coffin. In that same thought, I really don't care to watch a Lorenzo VS Rossi battlefest all season, however I do not think Rossi has it in him to consistently fight for the win every race anymore.

Anyone else have similar sentiments?
