No, let me tell you what's a New York thing....Champion hoody, North Face, etc. And I'm not even from N.Y. I will say that NY has start a lot of trends in the streetwear department, but that gets old really fast.

There's nothing wrong with a high end bag, but if you buy one, buy it because you like it..not because you saw the latest rapper wearing it last night on TV. I saw so many kids spawned up with fake LV backpacks last year that it was comical.

Personally I think a high end fashion bag is too much for me. Not to mention they don't carry much stuff like my Jansport.

Diff strokes for diff folks. My LV wallet costs $250, and I'm happy with it.

Some of my friends who wear $400+ jeans and stuff like that don't see why I spent $1,600 to lower my car, let alone why I modify it in the first place.

that's all you had to say. i dont understand why people jump to conclusions about things like these when they spend money on things other people think are stupid.

people need to stop hating until they try it. i love my designer jeans and now i wont wear anything but those. quality and fitment is just 10x better. in the end, you worked hard for your money so spend it on what YOU like.

Same here. I was skeptical and bought a pair of 7 jeans last season to see why my friends raved about it so much. I love the fitting and now own about 9-10 'high end' jeans.

I see it as a hobby, whether you're into cars, coins, clothes, etc. you're a hobbyist of a sort. A hobby is suppose to be enjoying so don't knock on other folks. It's funny because some of my 'masculine' friends who poke fun of my 'metro sexual' friends know that the metros bag more females than the they do.

My mom has been using high end purses since the late 80s and if you look at them now, you'd think that it just came straight from the store. These brands are classic.

PS...that 'something' Jacob is Marc Jacob...related to LV brand as well. Aside from their sunglasses, I'm not a big fan.

To the OP, I don't think any coin purse will fit in the small ashtray.
Who said a damn thing about rappers? Do you really think I care about that stuff? I listen to some rap, but the artist I listen to sadly dont get any air play.

But let's back up and yes of course having a simple design that is an all over print will look normal at any time. But that makes it worth the hundreds? Nah, also considering everyone has it? Nah. And yes people have knock offs. But a lot of people have the real thing.

Also I ment something jacobs. I know it is Marc Jacobs. I bought a jacket for $40 bucks from the store on Newbury street. I just threw that out there because of that. Although the rain boots are stupid as hell.

But truthfully I can't expect much from people. Look, now Vera Bradley is the thing. Everyone has one now. Even my girlfriend. Although the new one she has looks somewhat good. All the other designs look like old people bed sheets or wallpaper. How it is nice I do not know.

Maybe a French dude. That's in between male and female. Closer to female.

Every time I see someone talk about LV, Coach, etc, etc, I think of the old Sir-Mix-A-Lot song, Swap Meet Louie.

Goes something like this:
louie vuitton never made a sweat suit, but ya swearin' up and down that ya got da louie boot

Trying to find a site to link...

Yep. I have a Zip-Loc bag in the trunk with some emergency quarters (tolls, parking meters, etc.). Works great..

Cost - less than the money in the bag..

Come on Bro... Stop the silly Label whoring, I understand owning some name brand fashion label if it makes you happy. But snooping around for an LV this or Gucci that is really damn silly. Especially the Nick-nacks, watches, Mugs or whatever the hell else they'll slap their brand on now. It's as bad as the Harley-Davidson Pet Food Bowls, or their Martini Shakers... has nothing to do with who they are, it's just whoring out the brand or a buck and slapping on some POS thing made in Korea, or Taiwan... Not worth .2 cents and NOT representative of the brand.

Although LV is so tired and over done that there will be NO recovering it...

Don't get suckered into this notion that the labels make the man... Folks will be laughing at you.

+1, I would go for something more subtle and less conspicuous (i.e. Bottega Veneta). You shouldn't carry a wallet or handbag worth more than your cash inside.

In the old days, I know millionaires at the time ('60s) were walking around with rolls of cash on rubber bands.

how u figure Bottega Veneta is more subtle and less conspicuous? giv eme some examples if you know what u guys are talking about? Stop living in your little own world. And maybe visit more places. However name brands doesnt make me happy at all, but it's something that I can afford and girls would be sweating
