Folding, Heated, Auto dim?

Hey,
My current side viewing mirrors become rusted (not sure how), and am thinking of replacing them with side mirrors which are able to auto dim (very helpful at night), auto fold, and heated (for winters). Is a mirror like this compatible with my BMW E90 323i, E90? (like is it prewired, or will I have to fish new wires through out the car?)

Thanks!

if you have mirror memory then you do not need to rewire

Do your seats have memory? The two number buttons on the side that will reset the seats and mirrors if they have been moved. If you have that then you won't need a wiring harness I believe. If you do not have it you will need one.

if your passenger mirror tilts down when you engage reverse - you have mirror memory

The auto-dim feature likely won't work. The sensors for it are on the interior mirror; if you don't have it there won't be a signal for the computer to dim them. If you decide to add the interior mirror, you will probably need to code it so the CIC will do the right thing.

My rear-view mirror has auto dim at the moment, so is there still a chance?

Yeah mine doesn't have that sadly... Do you think rewiring this portion would enable me to have tilt, auto fold mirrors? or is there no chance?

no need to retrofit seats with memory to have mirror memory
they are not bound anymore
interior auto-dim mirror is easy retrofit, there are plenty of them on ebay

Yes.

In the US/CA, if you have auto-dim, it's all three mirrors; never seen an interior-only auto-dim. And all US/CA BMWs have heated exterior mirrors - the mirrors are quite expensive to replace because of those two features.

I don't think this mod is worth doing, you might end up spending a lot of money. Its good to have but honestly how many times are you going to use the tilt down function. Spend the money elsewhere to do some other mods.
