BMW, please make it a production model!!
If that is what you are thinking my friend then you don't have any appreciation for the car you are driving now. Your Z4 qualifies to be one of the most beautiful exterior designs (not what is posted in the OP). BMW can never ever make something like this a production car in a 1000 Years.

The car posted in the original post will most likely have a sticker price of around $160K add a few options (there always are options that is), tax and the rest the dealer adds and you are looking at a $200K car IMHO.

I rest my case ... as someone here stated only a few will be able to afford this car.

I rest my case.

But 6 series is not at the same level as Mercedes CL, especially when you consider the price, size, and engines in those cars.

When BMW introduced 8 series, they insisted the car wasn't a successor of 6 series, but a brand new class. Size was the same, but 8 series was much more expensive and had bigger engines.
So they can't say now that the obviously downgraded 6 series is "equivalent" of 8 series, albeit filling in the market.

But I'm really glad BMW is working on and planning on more higher end models.
I know affluent people prefer higher-end Mercedes and BMW might not sell well, but they have to start somewhere
I hope they don't introduce a model then 1 generation/7 years later, bow out with weak excuses like "economy was bad so we didn't sell well"
100% of truly higher end BMW's have never lasted over a single generation, M1, Z8, 8 Series.

I really really wanted to like this car but honestly it isnt doing anything for me. Rear looks like an old 7 series and the car overall looks like an over grown 6. Interior is not impressive either :-/

Meuh

Looks like an Audi from the profile. Lincoln lights in the rear

Front overhand is too long (snout-ty)
-Push the wheels forward or reduce the length of the hang

Hoffmeisteir kink with the depression/relief looks more like a Maserati

Interior looks very nice and is quite elegant

N.B.: A car that big, is targeted at older gentlemen (prob 50+)

The exterior is polarizing (I think that's a good thing) but the inside is just a lovely place to motor.

What happens with all these concept vehicles? Are any ever sold to collectors? I know a local who has some concept cars in his garage (very large garage) with no interiors.

Im sorry but that is absolutely hideous. If that had a Kia or Hyundai emblem on it everyone would say how gross it is and ask what were they thinking. Just cause it says BMW doesn't mean it's "stunning" or "beautiful". Forget the emblem and be honest.

I Love the design. Some of the points in the rear I am not overwhelmingly happy with but overall its an amazing design and very beautiful. Great job!

I am pretty sure BMW keeps them. Some are put in the Welt, and then after a while they are probably put in storage.
