CIC map update issue
Hi,
I have 2010 E92 330d with pro sat-nav. I just purchased map update through BMW UK, downloaded the newest 2024-1 Premium Europe West map and put the USB in the car (it is about 24GB in size, so seems right). I entered the activation code from BMW and the update started (it was saying USB 1/4 during update). After about 50 minutes it asked me to connect USB device 2. The whole map fits on a single USB flash drive, so what is it expecting me to connect? Do you have any ideas how to progress with the update? I emailed BMW but I don't expect they will be particularly hasty coming back to me. |

Yes, I used the glovebox USB. The structure look pretty standard, there is config.nfm file in the root folder and a single folder pkgdb, its contents in the screenshot attached. I think there is an issue with this verion of the map as 2023-2 installed without any problems.

Has this issue been solved? I'm having the same exact problem with the system instructing me to switch USB 2 even though all the files are in a single pkgdb folder.
EDIT: Did some googling. On mhhauto someone posted " It's BETA version, we must to wait for USB version. " Can anyone confirm? Guess I will just get 2023-2 instead. Big upgrade to 2012 maps though... Last edited by ile__; 07-27-2023 at 01:39 PM.. |
