Using PS for editing all your photos individually has to be a PITA

Depends on how much you intend to correct. For just curve, resize, & sharpen, it is overkill, but for times I do more than that, I can't complain. Plus, I'd rather have more than I need as opposed to not enough.

Fairly new to DSLR photography and post-processing; photo was taken in Nice, France 2 weeks ago. Used CS5 for cloning, saturation, and curves.

Open to critiques/comments...

also, i edited the first to second with absolutely 0 layers. i had no idea how to use them at the time and did everything with careful erasing and a lot of ctrl-alt-z. i also had no idea how to properly use the pen tool or selection refining

I didn't upload the original photo but here's what I did:
- infrared filter
- layer mask - to show the yellow
- added background (originally had white bg)
- layer mask - to show foreground
- dodge and burn

I love a good sunrise blast along the beach.

BTW, I like the "popping out of the frame" image and the secondary background. Nice work.

Ugh some of these are absolutely incredible... This is my amateur attempt. I really wish I knew how to get better at post processing but for now this is a pretty good example of where I'm at:

thats not too shabby at all. Just cuz you see someone elses editing doesn't mean yours is bad/wrong. Everyone has their own style, if it pleases the eyes and all the basics are there then it's all subjective.

Here are some from my latest shoot. Pretty much the same process as I posted earlier, only slightly different temperatures.

2 + 4's styles are excellent, not much a fan of the cooler look on the others though they a nice pix.

#3 would be AWESOME if you spent a little extra time on it and took out all the electrical lines.
