07 E90 328ix with Gm trans

2007 328ix with GM transmission.
previously lost reverse (assumed selector rod)
now tonight I went to drive the car, got about a mile then the car screamed at me and threw the transmission malfunction. limped the boat home.
when scanned got these back
56bf EGS clutch,Gears 123 and 4 neutral test
56b9 EGS Clutch,Gears 35 and R: neutral test
578E EGS Gearbox oil wear
Did some of my own research and came to the conclusion that the selector rod that I had previously throught was an issue is infact the problem. Does anyone here have their own imput.
EDIT- I put off replacing the rod due to being scared of doing the transflush and it making the problem worse due to possible build up in the transmission.

the service route is best bet depending on miles. New fluid, filter, mechatronics seals and such. Or if high miles source a good used one. They are fairly easy to replace, even on jack stands.
