i bought a rim but after checkout i got a message saying i can't donate as i am located in the usa. hopefully my order still goes through.
was debating between the rim and exhaust manifold but thought it would be cooler to make a rim table vs hanging the manifold on a wall .

For $1,600 you can have your name printed on the car. That'd be fun to see on tv. |

From Motorsport.com:
Some equipment and even crew members are on the ground, but the cars won't be. Marussia’s last minute attempt to get to the Abu Dhabi GP appears to have failed due to the inevitable financial issues. Sources in the Abu Dhabi paddock said that the freight would be coming today, and Williams and Caterham were told by FOM to remove equipment that they had stored in the neighbouring garage earmarked for Marussia. In addition the Ferrari power unit guys assigned to the team were wearing their Marussia shirts today. Max Chilton had been linked to the Caterham seat until it became apparent that Marussia was trying to make the trip. It remains to be seen whether he still has a chance of driving the green car. Will Stevens was in the team’s garage today, but he will require superlicense approval. |

Toro Rosso might announce Ver Stappen's team mate this week?
Marca said the probability is now "99 per cent" that 20-year-old new Formula Renault 3.5 champion and Spaniard Sainz will be teenager Max Verstappen's teammate. "The announcement could even take place this week," added the newspaper. |

BBC Reports Nov 25th:
"Caterham buyer could put team back in business 'within weeks' Formula 1 team Caterham are in talks with a potential buyer who could put them back in business within weeks, according to their administrator. They entered administration last month with 230 staff later made redundant. "I am honestly talking to somebody who would like to take this over within the next month," administrator Finbarr O'Connell said. Caterham competed in last weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix having missed the previous two in the USA and Brazil. "They (the potential buyer) would like to take it over with the same people, as the same team with the same infrastructure, and that would be the dream result for me." O'Connell added. "It would be absolutely fantastic." |

I'm starting to suspect McLren doesn't have the courage to face the fans if they sack JB and are waiting for him to tire on their extreme inability to make a decision and say F-it I'm out on his own. Don't do it JB, hang in there.

My understanding is that the delay is due to the McLaren Group board and the shareholders needing to approve any of these decisions. There is a board meeting on Wednesday (I think it is) so that's why the decision will come out Thurs/Fri. Supposedly Ron Dennis and his people want Kevin while Alonso and the shareholders are pushing for Button so it's pretty split at McLaren right now

This is interesting:
THE ARGUMENTS FOR BUTTON * Vast experience in Formula 1 will help fast-track Honda's progress * Outqualified and outscored Kevin Magnussen in 2014 * Trusted by Fernando Alonso to help bring on McLaren development * Profile good for McLaren marketing and attracting sponsors * Looming end of career means door open to slot McLaren youngster Stoffel Vandoorne in for 2016 or '17 REASONS TO KEEP MAGNUSSEN * Showed good speed in 2014 as a rookie - and will only get better * Offers long term security for McLaren as only at start of career * Will push Alonso hard as not willing to accept second best * Driver line-up of youth and experience is always a benefit for teams |

My predictions for 2015:
1.) Niko will be champion. 2.) Lewis will find someone else to blame and call a breach of contract. 3.) Jenson is toast if Kevin can't infuse more cash. 4.) Alonso will bring Ferrari secrets in the front door instead of the back. 5.) Kimi will outperform Seb. 6.) The russian will ruin Alonso's chances. 7.) Carlos will sweep the gravel just like his papa. Hope I'm proven wrong by the Iceman and a Ferrari miracle. |

IMO, I'd keep Alonso and Button combination for 2015, probably even through 2016.
For the sake of future chassis, aero, and Power Unit development. ALO and BUT provides two aspects of driving style and resulting balanced opinion of set up and development. 2015 will be a huge development year for McLaren. What does it right in 2015 will go a long way for future drivers like Magnussen and Vandroone matures and comes on board 2016 onwards.

The inability make decisions at McLaren is now so bad that not even the board can make them. What's the next level of authority, the Queen of England...
Or maybe they really are waiting for Button to say F-it to not have to make a decision, so pathetic: http://m.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/117042 "So I'm good, but I just want to get it done. I want to hear the decision - as we all do - so we can all move on in whatever direction." "In the end, Button may decide that he can no longer wait for McLaren to make a decision and could choose to seek a drive elsewhere in motor sport - most likely in sportscars." |
