My 09 Subie WRX STi
Hey everyone, i got my brand new Subie WRX STi back in October of 09, i know it took me a long time to upload pics lol. I have been modding my babe and been in love with driving her! Best car ever since my 335i Anyways got some pics, and currently modding her. Ill defiantly get some pics when i mod her and a dyno video with the mods
PS: Ever since my old man taught me stick shift i hate autos lol. I also think of slapping myself silly for not getting my 335i with a 6 speed tranny lool

So far I've ordered these parts can't wait. Then I'm hopefully going to install a bigger turbo. (Thermostat, Gauges, Wide Band, POD, CAI, Oil Cooler, BOV, Complete Exhaust, Exhaust Shut Flap, Fuel Pump, Boost Controller, Custom Tune)

Looks like your on the right track with the mods. Nice job. Clear bra is definitely a good idea. One year in the desert and if I had the $ I'd be repainting my front bumper, hood, mirrors, a pillar, random chips on the side and a damn dent in my roof. Its rough out there. |

Nice car, reminds me of my 08.
Check out the MXP exhaust, best sounding at the time i was looking at them. There should be 1 really good vid of it on youtube. I would also suggest you forget the BOV. Absolutely worthless and possibly dangerous mod in my opinion. How about coilovers and f/r sways? They completely transform the feel of the car. I assume you don't have the spec-c setup from the factory on your 09?

Not at all, to tell you the truth I'm enjoying the STi more then the 335i. There's just something about a stick shift car that makes you feel like your in control of the car at all times. You enjoy it more too. Plus its much more cheaper to mod the STi. Also if its modded correctly is can be a monster

A 335I is not a special car at all....the STI has something special.
Just like I would buy a Mazdaspeed3 over a lets say a 328I or a C300

If downgrade means more of a driver's car, then I would accept that. Really, I've owned both and the STI is far superior with regards to all around driving performance. Anyone owning a ZR-1 and a GTR should understand this, but maybe not?

Exactly I'd drive a (cheaply made by some) GT-R over a regular 911 C2S,C4S etc....it might be a downgrade at the golf course parking lot....but it's clearly an upgrade

nice STI I was torn between that sti hatch and the evo X and I ended up going with the EVOX but awd cars are a whole new world of handling. I too got rid of my bmw 135i and went with the "cheaper" car. The driving feel is night and day as far as handling and precision, but you have to sacrifice the quieter ride and smoother ride which I do not miss at all.

While none of the sedan owners will want to agree, it is true. The GR hatchback is the best performing STI to date. All the tests on the car have confirmed this. While it is more refined and may feel softer, it actually is faster and handles better than the GD.
