How far do you live away from work?

Sorry folks if this is boring but I was wondering how far do you guys live away from work. I always gave up a dream house favoring living close to work and this started to get to me. I end up not driving my car enough and at the end give it away ( just sold my 08 E93 M3 with 35k miles). I started looking for a new place but I cant find anything I like unless I go about 20-25 miles away from work. Is this too much. Again sorry for the boring post.

I'd say that if the traffic conditions are not Seattle alike, you'll do fine with a longer commute. Rather than worrying about your twice a day trip to the office, look how far and how much your other half drives daily because of your location suggestion. Usually the miles can be found there, and this explains the happy faces of the women stuck behind the beater minivans.

Google map shows that I am 0.6 miles from work.
Takes very long 15 minutes to walk, so I drive my car.
Sorry Lucy for short drive.

You need to add 0-1 mile on the pole

You just had to make sure we all know you are the only man in the forum with the time to enjoy your car, didn't you? Don't worry, I would've done the same in your morning slippers at noon.

My office is 50 miles away, not a bad drive actually, fun sometime, except on the way back. It takes me about 55 mins to get to the office, but generally 2-2.5 hrs to come back, so I only go twice a week.

20 Miles from work. It's a great train ride. I'd kill myself if I had to drive everyday to and from work.

BTW, wrong section of the forum

25 miles was perfect in the start, but now with traffic, construction, and terrible drivers, it is not so grand.

only + is 30 minutes to regroup, listen to XM, and let the monster kick in before pumping iron

40 miles each way, roughly an hour commute from my own apartment.

If I stay at the ladies apartment, it's about 70 miles each way and an hour and 40 minute travel time.

This morning I left her place. 55° and rode the bike. Forgot my gloves. It was foggy as shit and kept fogging up my lens every ten seconds. This mornings commute really sucked ass.

45 Miles from my apartment to work. However, my fiance and I carpool now (HOV lane FTW) and since I drop her off at work that then makes my commute 50 minutes one way.

Mornings, it takes a total of an hour.

Afternoons, minimum of 1.5 hours all the way to 2.5 hours depending on the day.

I go to the left .5 miles and the wife goes to the right .5 miles. So together we have a mile.

3 miles. Used to be 55. I'm saving a ton of gas money, but I gave up the Z4 because I never got around to driving it.

It is a mixed answer for me. I commute 52 miles one way 2 days per week. 3 days per week I work from home...so 0 miles. Then once per month I commute about 16 miles one way for 3-5 days for reserve drill.

Actually my wife is the one who wants to live further so I'm safe this way around here there are tones of back roads that both my car and I will love.
