It is a fair point, I would recommend that you watch the video I posted above though, you will see that there have been multitudes of balanced studies that demonstrate similar conclusions, regarding animal products, and increased mortality, and overall disease rates. They also address the so called healthier options like poultry.

Let's not bother everyone with a big debate though.

It is much more practical to watch a lecture where a MD, and expert in his field, presents the conclusions to the most important clinical studies that he has reviewed regarding nutrition. This Dr. has already read and analyzed thousands of journal articles, I would much rather listen to his conclusions, than try to draw my own, because I do not have time to read through thousands of journal articles, do you?

Opinions are like... You know the saying. Make a thread for it, or rather, I think there is one in the Health section. Plus, I don't trust a lot of what is put out, because everyone has an agenda (usually the almighty dollar).

It also doesn't help that there's always some "new groundbreaking study" that completely reverses what was put out before.

Can we get the Doctor Oz stuff out of here? Who the heck goes into a foodie thread and starts posting medical articles about how cheese and meat will kill you? Yeah dude, we know.

Eating cupcakes all day will kill you. Eating too much tuna full of mercury will kill you. There's a forum called "Health, Fitness, Martial Arts, and Nutrition", maybe you can post there.

Do you go into a "Hot Chicks" thread and post about divorce percentages and STD transmission rates?

Let's get back to foodie pics. Thanks!

''Saved'' by eating meat and cheese, you are reaching pretty far with that one.... You should tell Bill Clinton that.

Jasper's today. I had the prime rib and mac and cheese which I didn't take pictures of because I've posted like 5 of them already in this thread. I did have a crab cake for an appetizer today which I snapped a shot of -

They had a special that I missed out (pork osso bucco with some kind of cheesy risotto). I'll probably go back tomorrow to try it out.
