Road bike for me. Two bikes in the stable - a custom bike made by a builder from Ridgefield, CT and a 1981 Windsor Professional bought at Conrad's in NYC. A bit of trivia - Eddy Merckx won the hour record on a Windsor track bike in Mexico City in 1972.

MTB. There's a lot of great trails here in the Bay Area. A few of us M3 locals ride together occasionally. Here's my bike: http://www.flickr.com/photos/radiant...in/photostream (Santa Cruz Nomad)

Thanks. Part of me still wishes I went with the carbon version though.

Both, although mostly road lately out of laziness
Cheers EDIT: Well gee, if we're doing bike porn... The road bike has the aero bars off now that I've stopped doing tris, and the MTB now has XT. Other than that, about the same, pretty basic but they've served me well.

MTB every chance I get. Specialized Epic Comp with many upgrades to XTR. I have a picture posted in a bike rack thread. I use the OEM bike rails and MTB rack purchased directly from dealership. Long Island has plenty of great trails believe it or not, maintained by C.L.I.M.B. organization.

Roadie for me.
Raced a bit when I was a cadet/junior and into Senior. Took some time off and now just ride for fun. try to do 10k km' a year..but work and family get in the way. Right now-it's a cross bike for the wintery mix of weather we have. Had a Trek Madone, but gave it to my brother...now in the market for a new bike. bike by slamako, on Flickr Last edited by slamako; 02-27-2013 at 11:37 AM.. |
