Hi all, coding question for you...

I have coded my F30 to always start in Eco Pro mode (mainly for when my wife drives it

), but I would like to get rid of the blue "extra miles" display that shows up in the instrument cluster while in Eco Pro mode. Particularly since, on the F30, it blocks other items that could be displayed such as instant mileage, range, and so on (you have to cycle back to these using the BC button).

In other modes (comfort, sport, etc), the display retains whatever I set it to, but every time I start the car it defaults back to the blue extra miles display (since it always starts in Eco Pro mode). Is there any way to change or disable this, via coding or otherwise? Many thanks for any ideas/comments.

Never mind my previous post... after a bit of trial and error, I think I found what I was looking for:

KOMBI > 300C > ECO_RW_DIGITAL_ENABLE – change to NICHT_AKTIV

This appears to disable the blue "extra range display" in Eco Pro mode, for anyone who is interested in doing the same...

I received my cable today, running E-Sys with token etc.

I followed the backup sugestion (on the first page of this topic) and no problem, backup done!

Then I try follow the PDF guide:

E-Sys - How to change FA in F-series car.pdf

And on this PDF, STEP 3 say:

- "3. Go to expert mode > coding. Click read under vehicle order to read FA from car. Click edit. "

Well, the FA was readed but the EDIT button is disabled.

So I stop, disconnected from car, shutdown everything start over and same thing: Edit button disabled.

Any advice?

You have to hit the Save button first, name and save it, then you can hit the Edit button.

Yesterday after code A.S.S. (to memory last choice) and enhanced blue-tooth with A2DP, I try code this:

Active High Beam Assistant
MODIFY THE READ FA - Remove 5AP from the vehicle FA.
VO CODE - FEM_BODY and FLA/KAFAS2 (whichever you are equipped with).

AND

Variable Light Distribution
MODIFY THE READ FA - Remove 8S4 from the vehicle FA.
VO CODE - FEM_BODY

My car is a F30 year 2014 EUROPE, and have:

S522A - xenon light
S5ACA - high beam assistant

You're probably right. The 5AP and 8S4 are "decode ..." codes. They are codes that disable a feature in the car.

If you don't have those codes, then the feature should not be disabled in your car.

If you have 522 and 5AC, you should have both features enabled already. if not, then there may be something else that is preventing it from working.
