I drives with both hands on the steering wheel coz I never know when an F1 car will fly by and I have to chase it down.

I just like caressing my shifter, hence only one hand on the wheel.

sorry, let me describe the ricer i ran into a few days ago

bright yellow mazda something from the 90s (like a miata or something) with a fartcan exhaust and huge wing, he takes off at the light and a huge plume of smoke comes out his tailpipe, he obviously burning more oil than he is gas

i go around him because even though hes probably at full throttle hes going slow as shit, i look back to find him in his car, with his shirt off, and a baseball cap with a flat bill turned sideways one hand on the top of the steering wheel and the other seemingly flashing "gang" sines at me with a mean look on his face

Alright, I am going to start another AT vs. MT thread...

I have always noticed from people I know:

AT drivers - drives with one hand
MT drivers - drives with both hands

I am not sure if this is a lack of driver's training for the AT drivers, but you always keep both hands on the steering wheel unless you shift.

Let the start!!!

Well, I have an AT and drive with two hands. I have had MT cars in the past and drive very well, thank you. That AT vs MT debate is nonsence (in general, not your post). Truth is, I own a SEDAN, not a sports car.

When I'm in my MT truck, I drive with 1 hand
When I'm in the E90, I drive with one hand and mainly use Step to shift
When I'm on my motorcycle, I usually drive with both hands until I get to a straitaway out of town where I don't have to shift, then I use the other hand.

UNLESS of course the is a Po-po around, or I'm taking a driving test, then it's 10 and 2.

With 25 years of driving, the only collision I have been in (knocking on his head) is when some yahoo hit the gas when at the stop sign behind me.

9 and 3's the way to be. I'm almost always at the 9 and 3. Sometimes my right hand'll drift down to a 5 or so when I get tired of driving for a while.
