Seat belt story.

This is an pretty funny story.

Last night after work I decided to drop by the liquor store and pick up a few 30's. The ride home from work is 30mins.

I didnt feel like folding down the seats so i put a few in the trunk and one on the passenger seat. I start driving away and the seat belt gong goes off.

I had my belt on and i didn't understand why. So while driving down the motorway i'm messing around with the seatbelt etc.

needless to say the damn 30pack weighed enough to make the car think someone was sitting in the passenger seat and it turned on the airbag and seatbelt indicator.

I got home and had my room mate help me carry the beer upstairs and he starts to laugh because i had to strap the 30pack in to stop the gong.

damn you bmw and ur smart car

Same thing happened to me, with a backpack on the passenger seat.

I disabled the annoying gong on my Land Rover, so now I just have a warning light on the dash if I carry stuff on the front passenger seat.

Thats funny, because sometimes when my xgf was sitting in the passenger seat the sensors would show no one was in the seat. This was randomly in the middle of a drive, all of a sudden the airbag would deactivate and the car showed the seat as empty.

BTW it was an Audi A4 not a BMW.
