Cliff notes:

1. Powerful African-American figures such as Jesse Jackson, Bill Cosby, Oprah Winfrey, Al Sharpton help Dave climb the success ladder.
2. Dave hits it off with the Dave Chapelle show.
3. The same people who helped Dave to fame starts tuning into the show, and they don't like the direction Dave is going with the show.
4. Those people form a group called "The Dark Crusadors" and starts threatening Dave to change his show formats.
5. Dave don't listen.
6. Examples of threats include, people following him, calling him in the middle of the night with threats, breaking into his house, even one with Oprah speaking directly to Dave at his home through her show, and photos of his children sleeping at night in his own home.
7. Dave tells people, but no one believes him. Dave starts to get paranoid and thinks he's going crazy.
8. Finally, Dave leaves the country and pulls the plug on the show.
