In our local autocross, the 335i raped the M3s and on the Ring, stock 335i is only 4 seconds slower than M3. What happens when you add another 90 ft. lbs of torque to the 335i? :rocks:

Yes the new 335 is nearly as fast as the outgoing m3...just as bmw intended. Let's see how it stacks up to the e92 m3 when it comes out. I would still pick my M coupe when it comes to autocrossing.

I own an E46 M3 and I love every second behind the wheel. I dont care how much faster a 335i can be with mods, its still not an M3. Not even close.

I got rid of my 335i because the M3 is a more competent car in pretty much everyway.

Not everyone buys a car for 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

When I got my e90 it was MSRP at 49K, the M3 in the showroom was 45K, I went with the e90 because it's newer and nicer looking. e46 M3 is awesome, new is better, the change is better.

Korean, Chinese, African, I really don't care as long as the car is up to my standards I will always consider it. In the case of the 335i, it is a perfect fit for me as far as style, performance, cost. The Italians make awesome cars also, my next car could be an Alfa Romeo if the car is up to my standards!
