Any 850csi owners here?

Considering a search for one of these amazing M-tuned 8s. I'd love to hear about ownership experiences. Thanks. A

Worst cars BMW ever built. Unless you have an endless wallet, stay as far away from them as you can....

I'll put it to you this way:

The most common complaint my dealership sees for the E31 is: "Customer reports a burning smell coming from trunk, fusebox area."

These cars are electrical nightmares. And they don't handle for crap. And the interior is cheap. And they cost an arm and two testicles to fix.... stay away, bro, seriously. You're WAY WAY better off looing for an E30 M3. Those are bad-frickin-ass.

Out of the country for a while and away from the board... Interesting to hear your opinions--thanks. I didin't realize the reliability was that abysmal. I get so seduced by the looks and sound that it's tough to look it any track record. I appreciate the candor and, while I sometimes go against my better judgement, I will respect your comments and move forward accordingly.
If my wallet was considerably larger, I would pursue a Z8 and would not care about any potential problems whatsoever.
