Cool Maserati Gran Turismo NOVITEC shod w/ 13.5" Fitment!

Magnificent!

Sign me up immediately! Maserati has ALWAYS had a level of "Mystique & Exclusivity" few cars achieve. Sexy Italian good looks. Lap of Luxury interior. And of course that roaring Ferrari engine underhood and exhaust note!
The car is already incredible but NOVITEC and D2 take it to new Exotic heights.

Maserati Granturismo showcasing a set of D2FORGED CV11 wheels with 21×13.5" wide rear wheel setup with 355/25/21 tires.

Full Novitec kit, custom front lip and 646 horsepower.

D2FORGED CV11 Wheels
21×9.5– Shallow Concave
21×13.5 – Deep Concave
Titanium Brushed Aluminum Center / Gloss Black Outer Lip & Inner Barrel Finish

*Direct Fitment, No Modifications Required*

Something has been bothering me about these lately and I think I've figured it out. It's the three little vent holes on the quarter panel.

That's just ... I would never even drive it, and it would turn to rust due the drooling problem causing humidity.
The word porn comes to mind, and doesn't go away.

That's every Maserati ever save for the MC12. The portholes look forced on the Granturismo MC, like the one in OP's post. They look a little more natural on the Sports, like this one. Still not the biggest fan like you, though.

My biggest issue with Maser design has to do with the awkward roofline and C-pillar window kink, along with the super fat fender lips.

Don't ruin this for me! I'm already obsessing!

That has always bothered me too. Can't not think of Buick when I see them.

Buick has been doing that since the 60s or so

Right, but why the hell did Maserati feel the need to add them in the late 2000s? I get it on a Buick but not on an Italian sport car..

That's absolutely false. The Coupe that the Granturismo replaced didn't have them, nor the 3200GT. The Biturbo didn't have them either. Come to think of it, I don't think any Maserati had them before the Quattroporte relaunch in 2004.

Excuse my pedantry; every modern Maserati. You're right that there was a large gap from the 60s to early 00s, but it was brought back in recent times to echo the vintage models.

What's sad is that they're not a horrible technique when done properly. Any make can take an idea and run it into the ground with poor execution (e.g. Buick and mid-2000s Cadillac). The same can be said for any design ideas, like the oversized single-frame grille, three-quarter window kink, taillight styling, etc.

Smooth out the 3 vents and paint the car black and mail to my house.

NO!

Okay, I admit I'm just sucker for the badge, and would never buy one, but I still say that that is just love at first sight. I'm afraid that will turn me into a mess if it shows up to a parking lot.

We're talking specifically about the portholes, not the overall car.

That is serious nit-picking LOL! The car is gorgeous as is and at least those are actual functional vents and not stickers.
The car is sick as fuk.

Am I the only one that thinks the rear wheels look terrible? The angle to get them under the fender looks forced. And cheesy.

It does have quite a bit of camber going on. Let's face it though - this car isn't looking like this to be a track star. It's all for aesthetics.
