It's also been on Netflix for like two years.

Was a really cool watch! I feel like regular ass tv is obsolete now that Netflix is around.

I watched this a little while ago and there were no subtitles so I had no idea what the hell was going on for most of the film. Then watched again last night on Velocity and with subtitles the movie indeed lived up to its reputation. We as racing fans really got cheated with the death of Senna as imagine how many epic races he would have been involved in throughout the rest of the 90's and even into the 2000's? I almost cry at the loss of an epic Schumacher/Senna rivalry in the late 90's...

Wow, I can't imagine watching it w/o subtitles. More than half the documentary is in Portugese and French.

Didn't get to watch it. Did it talk about his involvement with developing the NSX?

No but it was focusing mostly on his relationships with the FIAA and Alain Prost as well as his personal feelings about the safety of the sport and his tragic death....

Amazing documentary! It's really astonishing how well he was able to drive those cars.

My parents called me and asked for a good movie a few weeks ago. I suggested they watch Senna and they both love it. A testament to just how fascinating his story really is.

Totally agree, I saw this movie a long time ago and it's very good. I doubt Prost agree though...

Btw, I know it's just a typo but the guy is arguably the biggest racing legend ever so it might be respectful to correct the spelling of his name

I've been biting my lip but yes, the title should be changed...

Did you get the sense that the documentary was trying to blame the cars in that fateful season. They showed the year before they had allowed electronic interventions namely traction control on the cars and the following year they banned them.

They even had an interview Senna where he talked about how much harder it was keeping control of the cars with no traction control, I can't even begin to imagine.

Definitely. Reminds me of the Top Gear eps. where they got Lewis Hamilton into Senna's old MP4 and he gave his impressions on how different some of the old cars were compared to the cars of today. I can't even imagine trying to drive the old turbo era cars at the level they did.
