I KNOW the feeling! I had one done on my left knee (the area behind the kneecap) and that SUCKED!

That doesn't compare to a Penicillin shot though; especially since they shoot your ass cheek. Now THAT'S PAIN!!

i had a couple. but totally different and im sure NO WHERE as bad as this. A few of my ear piercings got Keloids (spelling). Basically extra build up of scar tissue on top of scar tissue. it wasnt too bad. but it was enough to bother me, so i had shots in there. it helped alot. i still have tiny bumbs though. but they dont bother me anymore

So the Keloids developed after you took them off right? I had a build up of scar tissue after I took off one of my earings as well and when I re-pierced it dayum that hurt like a mother! Went around the same area and that stung hard! Nothing like the shots mentioned above but a sting nontheless. The problem though is that I like some pain hence my tattoos and piercings.

Are you joking or you really thought it hurt that bad? I had several for achilles tendonitis and get them every month in the spring for allergies. Its not that big of a deal.

Corticosteroid injections can be a little painful. This is why local anesthetics are often injected with them. Later, after the anesthetic wears off, you can experience a "steroid flare" due to the crystals in the corticosteroid. This can be painful as well. Sometimes a quick acting and a long acting anesthetic are added to the steroid injection syringe.

Tetanus shots hurt a little bit. Oil-based Penicillin shots (the ones given for treating Syphyllis) are extremely painful.

A lot of people are allergic to penicillin.

Penicillin has been used for a lot of different things. The problem is that the germs mutate and become resistant to it. This is one reason why antibiotics should not be used unless recommended and prescribed by a physician. Stronger or broader spectrum antibiotics are developed, used and germs become resistant to them too. This is why their use should be judicious.

All I know is that that shot was the worst shot ever. It was really viscous and the nurse repeatedly told me not to tense up. Man it took forever and I swear that needle was over 4" long! Talk about hitting deep into muscle. That shot SUCKED!

LOL. I wish I could relive my childhood. I'd tell that nurse, "woman, I'm not gonna relax my butt cheeks for you. Just get it over with!"
