I busted out laughing when the guy started narrating. That British cadence of starting with a high voice and ramping up again at the end is SO funny to me.

Hey OP, thanks for this. FInally, a good video on this car. But I notice that they have muted the engine note alot. Hmmm, mclaren must have told them to do so. I hope Chris Harris isn't biased towards it because of the manufacturer being British but I'm sure I'm wrong. Chris Harris is one of the most best and honest automotive journalist right.
Thanks again

British accent might be funny to some but do you know who he is?

For me the MP4-12C is still NUMBER ONE at moment. I say at the moment, because after seeing the Aventador, the one that will replace the Gallardo may be very nice in all ways: performance and design.

Now for me the most exciting cars are:
1. McLaren MP4-12C
2. Alfa Romeo 4C
3. Toyata FT86
4. Audi A3 Concept

No Aventador, not that I don't like, but for me it is just too much.

I don't have a clue but it wouldn't matter. It cracks me up every time.

This car is very ugly. Hard to believe this is the same company that designed the F1.

^ I don't know about it being ugly but it sure is no lambo. Look wise it's no better no worse than a 458. Love too see a head to head comparison to a 458 though

It's just too rounded for my liking. Almost like they put the car in the microwave or something. I'm not a fan of the 458 either.

Heard that the MP4-12C could hit the N-Ring in 7:00 min flat. If it is true, it is simply STUPID.

No fricking way. I would believe that when a magazine or a company (non-biased McLaren itself for example) does it, WITHOUT tweaking the car.

For starters, check his rant against Ferrari. You will gain respect for his honesty.

This is pretty shocking.

Anyone who is the least bit passionate about cars has heard or seen Chris Harris before. You're also the first person I've heard say that the 12C is "very ugly".

guys he was just making fun of his accent not his credibility. also taste is subjective and he is allowed his opinion on how it looks.

When a car becomes TOO well rounded and TOO clinical in its execution there's always a danger of not being able to tug at the owners heart strings. And that is my ONLY real concern with the Mp4-12C. It's engineering and performance are undeniable. I hated the looks in the launch colour (looked like a generic supercar on an insurance billboard) but then I saw it in the silver which works much better. Lambos, Ferraris, and the like may not always be the BEST car to have, but 99%of the time in 99% of conditions it's all about having a car that makes you FEEL something. And at that price point there's really no excuse for not having an engine and exhaust note that makes your hair stand on end.
Of course this is all a moot point as I am not in the market for such a vehicle due to lack of available funds haha. But the forums number one purpose is to bash or promote vehicles we have no intention of buying.

Someone who's rich enough to buy this already has the 458 and Gallardo. This is a beautiful track machine that is understated and smart. Everything about this car oozes efficiency; from the small V8 that's twin-turbocharged, to the suspension that's adaptive, and the look that is contrasted against its performance capabilities. A Ferrari and Lamborghini is too much of an attention whore. THIS is the new supercar to have.
