Major Terror attack foiled in Toronto!

I cant believe these dumb a$$es! I knew this was going to happen as soon as Canada went to join in the war...I told my wife this...it just kills me b/c TO and Canada is one of most multicultural, ethinc diverse places to live. Not to mention that many of these guys live(d) only 5 - 10 mins from my old house. Now these F&%#$ers are going to do something there...my parents are immigrants and I was born there but this is one of those times where I feel like if you are not going to adopt the laws and views of the country you inhabit then go the fuck home :finger:! These bastards live off the goodwill and enjoy the benefits of North America and then want to destroy it! They will get theirs in jail! I guess if you arent safe in Canada then you are not safe anywhere...I just want to praise CSIS, Metro and Peel Police forces!:rocks: To be honest I didnt they were that great but today I feel major proud of Canadian Law enforcement. This should set the americans mind at ease about how close Canada is watching this stuff. We all have to band together to fight the war on terror!

BTW I am Pakistani..I just love the country that has given me everything!

Most pakistanis i know would disagree with you completely. I think its respectable of you to be able to think objectively like that.

Marven- I hear most of the people caught were in the Missausauga area. Are you from the area? My in-laws live there.

It's a shame that many of these muslims fled the NY/NJ area to take cover in the T.O area and nothing was done about it. Have you noticed the increase of muslim population in the area?

I am from there but live in VA at the moment due to a promotion from my company in TO. We plan to go back there eventually..well who knows now..but probably will b/c all my family is there..

Like I said above we've always had a large population of EVERYTHING to be honest I dont think any of these guys are from the US...I've always suspected that we had plenty of these types of fanatics homegrown..now I know for sure...

I think you'll be ok...they were looking to hit the "establishments" like the CN Tower, CSIS and some federal buildings. I dont think they were even going after the TTC (Toronto local Toronto subway system..). One of guys even worked for the "Atomic Energy of Canada"...I guess he's out of job!

This just makes it worse for immigrants like my parents and for me who love our nation!

just moved from mississauga a year ago ..maybe u lived near me ..i lived at qew and mississauga rd .going back there in about 2 weeks also for a holiday and im scared of getting hassled ...im also going through atlanta that cant make it better...
btw im muslim also

Yes I am nervous about that too but hopefully the diversity and harmony that makes Canada unique will not be ruined by the few bad apples.

Why did u move to South Africa? How do you like it? Are you coming back to Canada eventually?
I miss Canada and Mississauga so much sometimes...
