Sounds a lot like who ever did the install just grabbed the turbo out of the bag and did not properly clock the turbine and compressor housings to make sure the charge pipe and down pipe fit properly.

If fftec does test fit on a dummy engine before sending, it sounds like the majority of your issues were on the installer's end.

Glad you got everything finished and the car running though. In the end, that's really the most important part. Shame it cost you more money than you had planned for though.

A oil change return after all that money spent ? Wow Sam.
Here's how it should be handle .

Hey Sam PM me your phone number .
Talk about what happened and what he has gone thru .
Obviously he dump serious cash redoing it, based on lack of communication and the fact that Sam is super inpatient as he should of stopped the install once the shop told him the kit wouldn't fit .
The least the vendor can do now is reimburse this kid a good amount of cash.
Hey they the hit once in a while to make a customer happy and gain new ones by showing how reputable and Reponsible a vendor is .

You actually make a really good point in there. I think that was absolutely what should have happened. Stop work immediately, call fftec, get the scoop, then either reinstall OEM parts or continue with single turbo install at owner's discretion. While I agree that there should not be fitment issues with the kit, the ultimate decision to go ahead with all the fabrication it took to make it fit is totally on the owner of the car. That said, he really isn't entitled to anything from fftec once the kit is modified. He should have boxed it back up and returned it.

Starting a company from scratch. 3 guys in a basement. No time for anything.

I just fried another clutch on the Bimmer Engine runs strong; coming up on 80k

The next time I bring in the BMW I want to build the motor. I think Terry might beat me to 1k whp at this rate.

Let us know if you would like our twin disc. Rated at +900tq it'll hold more than enough to get to the 1Kwhp mark.
