Maldonado never stops amuse me this season. He kept bringing new ways of "losing" the car or crash into someone else. I think he found a better use of the poor Lotus chassis and poor performing Renault power unit.

And Sauber's helmet just for Monaco:
..."As part of a charity campaign, the duo will contest the blue riband event wearing helmets designed by world-renowned Brazilian pop artist Romero Britto. The initiative is a joint campaign by Britto, Sauber and Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, and neither driver hesitated in donating their helmets for the cause. The initiative is one of several joint activities planned by Gabrielle's Angel Foundation and the Sauber team this season and, while Sutil's helmet already came under the gavel during the Gabrielle's Gala charity event in London on 7 May, Gutiérrez will see his headgear auctioned online at charitybuzz.com after the Monaco weekend."... |

They might be third best in the pecking order, just behind Merc and RBR (although Merc still has a huge lead). Hamilton overslept???!!! http://en.espnf1.com/f1/motorsport/story/159341.html

I think they're on the cusp of reclaiming some podiums, for sure but they have a LOT of work to do before they catch up with MBZ (as you stated too) Here's what Kimi had to say during the press conference: (I know this is Kimi and FA was in the top times but they're both piloting F14-T's); QUESTION: Was Spain something of a turning point for you in terms of being able to extract closer to the maximum potential from the Ferrari? What made the difference there for you? And also, can you say anything about your analysis of the strategy in that race afterwards? KIMI: We’ve been pretty good in other races also but obviously had some problems in the race or in practice and always messed up the complete big picture a bit. But obviously it was a bit better last time around. To be honest, if we finished where we finished, I think sixth and seventh, it’s not at all where we want to be as a team, so we still have an awful lot of work to do. We improve things little-by-little but the other teams are also going forward so it’s not a simple thing to fix and be in front suddenly. We know how it works and we know how much things have to improve but we keep working hard and for sure one day we will get there. |

Since it's Monaco it will depend on how he qualifies, but if we're lucky it will be on turn 6 where he can block the road and put his own stamp on the race.
