It's not the government. It's what the PEOPLE want. I'm not one of those people, neither are you.

We aren't. It's the same thing that they are doing with natural gas. They think that all of a sudden they can ween us off of fossil fuels by taxing energy companies out of business and propel us into their solar/wind/nuclear/fire/water/air captain planet fantasy land.

And the public thinks that they SHOULD tax these energy companies because they are the big bad wolves and make too much money. Well what about all of the smaller independents that produce ~70% of our oil and ~82% of our natural gas?

The government supports them through subsidies; It is a part of their energy policy.

There's a 6% parts overlap between the Tesla and Elise and Lotus supplies them with the chassis. The interior is just as spartan as the Elise.

Which is pushed by lobbyists of this green movement. The pressure put on our government to be more eco friendly is so unbelievably powerful that we are forced to make snap decisions. As much as people are going to disagree with me... the green movement is a fad. I am in the industry.

A lot of the things people think we just started doing because of Al freaking Gore we have been doing for 30 years. But now that they are aware of it, it is like we have changed for the better.

I get calls from stupid hippie customers that think they know exactly what they are talking about because they read some green agenda website. Organic supermarkets think I should PAY THEM for their organic waste.
