Coding FWM to work with fog lights
I am thinking of retrofitting fog lights.
The BMW original accessory installation instructions says I need a new footwell module, as well as coding the new one. That sounds very strange to me, can the old one not just be coded to enable the fog lights? I ordered the cable recommended in one of the stickies. Is this something I can do by myself, a complete noob, or should I find a professional? |

first of all, its FRM module, not FWM
as far as I know, all FRM modules support foglights, all u need to do is add a new # to VO, and then maybe code the foglight function. The coding part is easy, not sure about the hardware mount tho.. I`ve never hooked anything up the original wires myself |

Is it not a Footwell Module? FWL. Well whatever
I think the hardware should be easy enough. So if the coding is easy as well I will order the parts needed and have a go at it. Thanks! This was exactly what I wanted to hear. |

footwell is what it`s called because it is located in the footwell
In codingworld it`s frm, so when coding, it will be called frm |
