A nice steak on the BBQ is always good. But the best is shrimp on the barbie!

Judging by BadBob's reply maybe the title should have been "What's your favorite Grilled Food?" BBQ implys something that I don't think the OP was intending, esp. in some parts of the country.

Touch choice between the classic hamburger and ribs. Went with hamburger though.

Looks like I'm the only one that likes shrimp and lobster on the grill.

Last night I had lobster, shrimp and little neck clams on the grill.

Tonight I'm having leg of lamb on the grill.

It's just as bad here in Kansas City. It's a known rule in KC that you don't bring up BBQ in a discussion uless you're in good company. Kansas City Masterpiece, Arthur Bryants, Gates, Jacks Stack, Quicks . . .

Most of those choices aren't technically BBQ...they are just grilled meats.

How about some brisket or pulled pork?

Agreed! BBQ refers to slow-cooking. Things like burgers, hot dogs and steaks should not be included.

I've lived in KS and NC - two places where bbq is king, even though both styles are quite different. I would give my left leg for some Gates BBQ in KC.

Well, most of these guys around here are from CA and wouldn't know real BBQ if it hit them in the face! j/k
