Im a on mac now! Macs do get viruses just so you guys know. You should NEVER log onto the internet with out a secure connection. There are viruses out there that search for unprotected IP addresses the moment you log on. Key loggers are dumped and so on. I worked for Circuit City for 5 weeks. You wouldnt believe the shit we saw cause people didnt want to BUY antivirus...

ok great. my laptop's merc'd now. it won't even let me do anything anymore. i installed avg and trend micro pc-cillin. they eliminated like 20 virus threats and i had to restart my comp after they finished. once i restarted it, the laptop would load about 95% of the desktop and now it just stops. i can't do ANYTHING with it. i get that retarded hourglass. like, it's just a big slab of useless metal at the moment. has anyone had this happen to them before? right now i'm on a different comp.

Try safe mode, and then run the anti-virus again.

FIXED IT! i just axed the Trend Micro program. it seemed to be the source of my problems. apparently you can't have two simultaneous antivirus software products on one computer.
