Turn 1 or 15. GA should be good, too [if you are willing to walk]

15 gets pretty loud, even with earplugs. Not that it's a bad thing, but good to know if you have a companion with you that is especially sensitive to that.

The stretch of grass between 2 and 6 is good, also the hill between 18 and 19. Be sure to take some time to go up the tower!

GA is by far the best. I've gone every year and sat at the "supposed" best location and GA is cheaper and better.

Correct. I would have to agree GA tickets are a great choice. Just remember to bring a blanket or something to sit on as some areas are rather patchy/rocky/dusty.

Last year for ALMS weekend, you could basically sit anywhere. They weren't really checking tickets. Not sure if it will be same this year. The paddock is open all weekend to all ticket holders.

That simulator is harder than learning to ride a bike!

+1 I went to a Tudor race this year.

There are no assigned seats. You can watch it everywhere there is a sight line. I preferred watching it from Patrick Dempsey's personal trailer while getting a massage from his personal masseuse, but that's just me.

Is the COTA race also part of the WEC race? Or different race? Or different weekend?

Yes WEC will be there. WEC race is Sat night, 5-11pm. They are lighting the track, going to be sick.

You are going to have a great time. Some advice if you want to see, maybe meet some of the drivers. Hang out in paddock after practices, behind garages. When drivers leave garages, occasionally have time to sign a couple autographs and take some pictures on their way out.
