there's no car with a BMW badge on it running so the badge whores on the forum could care less about the 500.
Dixon is winning this unless he screws up big time or gets caught up in a crash. |

Did you see TB / PT / TK run the C63 AMG's around the track on Speed?

The snow/ice drifting part at the beginning was interesting, but that segment just seemed like it would never end. |

When North America has a proper open wheel series again then yes....
F1 race was good.

That was a real racing mistake...using the brakes of the person ahead of you. Sutil was gutted....he drove so well. Raikkonen clearly didn't mean to do that unlike the Prost - Senna incidents. Seeing Danica Patrick angry makes me happy.

Yeah the C63 is a beast. I drove one again a couple of days ago and put my order in for one. |

I don't give Raikkonen the same measure of forgiveness that you extend him (and I like Kimi .... he's not know for pulling Schumachers ). As reigning world champ, he should have know where his braking point was. Instead, he was focused on the rear of Sutil (who also was about to miss the corner ... just not in the same fashion as Kimi). It pisses me off mostly because Sutil drove the race of his life (combined with circumstances), and would have not only given much needed points to his team (points = Bernie $$ at end of year), but also a sure shot at advancing to one of the more competitive teams down the line. And yeah yeah, I know he'll still get noticed by team principals, but it's not the same .....

Well. . . no need to when practically every form of auto racing is massivley dominated by, yup you guessed it, F1.
And when your used to watching and following F1. . . . Indy looks like a joke. No offense or anything, it's just my opinion.

It's not that man. Who cares about cars driving in a circle? I'm not conceited or anything, but I consider my intelligence level as above that.

No doubt F1 is wildly popular. I was just talking about the Indy 500 race alone. The 500 is pretty much the crown jewel of open wheel racing. The event usually has the single highest attendance of any sporting event in the world (sometimes nearly 500,000 people).

That being said, despite the number of people they might cram into Indy for 1 day, I don't believe characterizing the Indy 500 as the "crown jewel of open wheel racing" is accurate. Perhaps in N America it is, but F1 is the sharp point (pinnacle) of auto racing worldwide

My favorite race used to be the Toronto Grand Prix....colorful characters and more importantly one open-wheel series. Then we have super-ego individual, who is a member of the lucky-sperm club, in Mr. George, owner of the Indy 500 split from CART... And look at the state of affairs today. I will stick with F1, and the new endurance series of racing...

This is one of the dumber statements I've read on this forum. The crown jewel of open wheel racing is the Grand Prix of Monaco. There are not a lot of people outside the US that watch the Indy 500. It's like saying the World Series is the pinnacle of all sports. Get real dude.
