Another thing is what are some signs of fuel pump dying?

Did you press and hold the DTC button or did you just press it once?

Alright guys, I seriously havn't havn't tried burning out in ANY car, esp. my e90.

So basically I have a 325i Step. DTC is fully turned off after holding it for about 8 seconds, then what do I do?

What procedures should I take in stepping on the gas, brake, etc. lol. << NOOBIE HERE!

i dont see how a fwd car is easier to burn out? if anything i would imagine it to be more difficult. anyway, im not here to answer the question but i just want to know why everyone's trying to do burnouts all the time.

well.. turn off the DTC completely.. and just taking off from a start should do the trick... if ur still having trouble (I don't see why, but anyways, although I dont recommend the following), press the brakes gently (enough to keep the car in place) and the gas, then let go of the brakes.. u'll peel right off...

Maybe its harder in an AT vehicle--not hard at all with a MT--and seeing how I have never had anything but a MT, not sure exactly....

But I would guess that you could throw your car into neutral, rev up the RPMs and then drop it into gear--that would work, wouldn't it?

OMG, of course you can burn out. I do doughnuts and burn my tires all the time with my 325.
with manual trans. DSC off------->very easy
with auto trans DSC off--------->easy
with a honda (front wheel drive)----->very easy
with DTC on -----------> only burns for about one turn of the wheels
with DSC on----------->impossible!

Because of physics. When you accelerate weight is shifted to the rear of the car and off the front wheels so they have less traction. It's why front wheel drive sucks for drag racing.
