You really have to know the whole story though to subjectively evaluate it... for example, a girlfriend in college qualified for food stamps because she was on financial aid and worked at the university. I had a nice car that she drove to the store to get free food. Could be the same circumstance as the OP.

Dude, it's Ethiopia. Lentils, greens, cheese, goat, cow, chicken, Eritreans, whatever they can cook with spices. And it still tastes great!

I'm sure there are those exceptions but nah, not in Long Beach, everybody working the system there man. The Brothers, the Flips, Vietnamese, everybody! You can't help but to stereotype and not be subjective. I saw the same shit nearly every time when I went to the store.
